- To promote the artist
- To sell the song
- To attract target audience, by making it eye catchy
In my research found that most of the conventions of magazine adverts should contain:
- Artist name (This is very important feature as the audience need to know who the name of the band is. As well as, help promote the artists )
- Album/Song title (This is important feature because the consumer needs to know the name of the albumbe to be able to purchase the album )
- The release date (This is important feature because it important to inform the audience about when they are able to start purchasing the album)
- Image of album cover (This is important feature in an advert to identify and know how the the album cover to be able to purchase it)
- Information about album ( This is important feature in an advert for target audience to get a rough idea of what will be in the album and what are the songs would be in the album)
- Where it is available to purchase (This feature is important in a magazine advert as the audience will be informed whether it is available to purchase on iTunes, Amazon etc)
- Record label logo (This is important feature because by knowing which record label they are signed to, we would get an idea of type of record such as professional record or regular recordand what kind of music they’re playing in the album.)
- Websites/ Following the artist (This is important for audience to directly research the artist or also perhaps contact the band if needed to)
For our Album Magazine Advert, its very important to follow these features to promote our artist in very creative way, as well as, keep the advert within the Indie rock genre and in its simplistic design. By using the artist record and contain our artist's icnonography we have embeded on the album and embed it on to our magazine advert. To add to that, add extra features we have not mention in our Album such as iTunes icon to inform the traget audience where they can purchase/download the album.
